The Mark of Zorro (1940)

The Mark of Zorro (1940)

Today, I revisited an old childhood hero, Zorro. Yes, I was quite the Zorro fan when I was a kid. And that was long before Sir Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas donned the mask.

I’m not gonna lie, I was worried about watching one of the old Zorro movies once more. I hadn’t seen any of them since the early 90s, when I was a wee lad. I was afraid I was going to soil the memory of the films by watching them once more.

But I had the itch. I missed Zorro and his black stallion.

I can report that I have not soiled the memory of this film. It had truly held up well for the most part. It was fun to watch on many levels, and it left me excited for my old hero once more. He did not let me down.
